Fire Department

The Waterville Fire Department provides fire protection. The department consists of a full-time, professionally trained Fire Chief and thirty part-time paid-per-call members, most of whom are also certified as paramedics or emergency medical technicians. All fire officers participate in advanced on-going fire and rescue training. The Department also provides response and protection services by contract to other adjoining jurisdictions. Mutual aid agreements exist with other area departments.

Emergency Medical Services

The Waterville Fire Department operates an emergency rescue squad manned by certified emergency medical technicians. These services provide competent emergency care and transportation for emergency victims, including field communications with hospital physicians.
